    VOIP/PSTN help needed

    Just that... need help please

    Okay have a VOIP account hooked up through Oztell... and been looking at some dual VOIP Landline phones which say they're for Skype or Windows Messenger.

    Firstly... does that mean these phones only work with those programs or can be reset 'easily' for other use?

    Secondly... in our office setup we're currently just using a 4 phone cordless system... would a Analogue Telephone Adapter let me access the internet number as well as the current landline calls?

    Okay just realised i'm talking more about SIP... so can those skype dual phones access SIP numbers or only Skype?

    i doubt it in general, but you may have something specific they may do both... way better asking your voip/sip supplier directly to see what THEY support...

    oh yeah but those forums really do take a couple days to get through

    But must admit getting closer now after spending some time on Whirlpool... just wish i hadn't used up my adsl quota so i could view at correct speeds
