The other 5% drive Land Rovers.
Considering the amount of Land Rovers that will never see dirt in there lives how many of the 5% are Land Rover owning morons, wasting potential?

Or am I a moron for taking mine offroad?

Some years ago in the days of a single antenna tab on the LHS of their bull bars I advised ARB that a number of Americans (on various 4WD lists to which I subscribed) who were buying their bars were bitching about the antenna being right in front of them. I suggested that for LHD export markets, they might consider moving the tab to the RHS.

I got a reply back from an A. Brown asking what it had to do with me. He also threatened to complain to my (then) employer about my using my work PC for private stuff.

I don't think I've bought from ARB since.

I'll have a stab and say that probably 95% of the 5% of Land Rover owners are morons. The other 5% of that are ENTHUSIASTS who appreciate a good thing when they see it.

Why would you be a moron for taking a Land Rover off road?? I am missing your point. Dont worry it happens all the time.
    Cheers

Yep its great to be able to go PSHHHHHHT.
I get to go twice if it gets real difficult with twin lockers.
The best investment I have bought other than my Sliders Both got a good work out today.

Saves a lot of work and wear and tear on the Disco on the hard stuff.

The front might come later but I reckon this setup (once the play tyres and rims arrive) will do me for a while yet.

I think sliders and perhaps a rear bar will be the next big things for this Disco. I like to have a go at things but am not too keen on unnecessary damage

I take the view to promote and recommend good service where possible, and equally to state poor service (Objectively where possible).

It would be good for others to know the specific store and type of problem.

I have been to ARB at Morphett Vale in SA, and they have been very helpful. There prices are not fixed, you can barter. I have tried to price match what I barter down to with others who will not even attempt to match the price. Sure they screwed up some of my wiring, however, with Me working late into the night with them, we fixed it, and they compensated me for it as well.

I have previously listed on the SA recommended suppliers Thread Link, people that I trusted and not trusted for parts and service and why, to share with others. Everyone should use their state threads, regarding service to recommend or not recommend based on the experience they have had.

    Cheers.

Also it feels like they aren't all that enthusiastic to help out a Rover enthusiast when I've walked into one of their outlets.
Yeah I walked into one ARB shop and as I approached the desk the fella said "Is that your LandRover?". When I replied yes he said "Don;t think we can help you with that". Perhaps he hasn;t ewad their own accessories catalog.

Another example: I contacted them asking whether they would consider making an airbag compatible bar for late Rangie Classics. I would have been satisified with a simple"Sorry No". What I got was a diatribe about how expensive it would be, that it's not worth it to them, that I should get a Nissan anyway coz they are better, yada yada yada. Not very professional at all.

Another example: I got an ARB bullbar fitted - I was quote happy with the bar and the fitting job. No dramas there. However when I was arranging it the ssales guy was pretty ****ed off that he couldn't manage tosell me a winch at the same time. He told me I'd be back 'next week' the get one fitted after 'the first time you get stuck'. I told him it was a Land Rover, I wouldn't get stuck. He seemed unconvinced. And he was wrong.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
