G'day all,
This is important. The Gov. is looking at removing rebates for buying solar panels. This is a ridiculous concept, if anything we should make having solar panels mandatory in any new or renovated house. Considering how much sun we get per year the gov. should be encouraging us to use more solar power.

Opinion: I reckon they're getting ready to sell off the energy companies, and they don't want them to lose any value like Telstra did. Bloody money money money - the gov. these days tries to make a profit. The gov. is not a company! It should be aiming to break even, not make a huge profit!

Yep, this sucks. They are rolling in money and they don't want to spend any to help the environment or people in remote areas.
The only way to stop this happening is to sell a solar panel manufacturer on the cheap to one of the ministers.Maybe that's what this is about

SubscriberDone. The comment I made is that not only do solar solutions for houses save on power bills they also SAVE WATER.
The amount of water consumed by power stations in generating electricity is staggering.
