    Who's Gunna Be At Fraser Xmas?

    Ok,it seems that quite a few people are gunna be at Fraser at Xmas/new years,so was wondering just who was gunna be there and when,then maybe some may be able to meet up along the way just to say "G'day" or maybe develop a secret AULRO wave or whatever

    Myself will be at sandy cape (all being well) from Boxing day thru to the 6th jan for some well earned R&R and fishing with a few trips south ,may even get down to Kingfisher to see "PAPA SMURF"

    So who else and where ya gunna be?

    Fernockulated 26 Dec- 06 Jan top end somewhere

    Incisor 26 Dec-02Jan same as above

    Hunchy 4 jan -11 jan Cathedral beach

    Big Jon Maybe

    GreyLandy 16 Dec-????? somewhere maybe

    Fenian Eel 29 Dec-3 Jan somewhere

    We're At Cathedral Beach

    Good thread idea ferno.

    We'll be at Cathedral Beach camping ground, driving up early pm 4 Jan on dropping tide. Onslo Blue MY04 TD5 Town Disco, Coleman tent. Leaving 11 Jan am.

    I might be there before Christmas ... from the 16th. From memory it gets really crowded between Cristmas and New Year, is it really that bad?

    will do mate if you are coming up boxing day we can meet up maybe at the BP caboolture at aprox 2.00am for the first barge and the right tides for the trip up the beach,we will be leaving home at midnight-ish,and the bro-in-laws wife is doing all our booking ,but you can either book online or via the phone,and pickup all the paperwork at the ranger station at Rainbow

    depends on where you are going,the bottom end is nearly always full of backpackers(read idiots in overloaded troopy's ) and daytrippers and soft roaders(rav 4s subarus,and the like)most stay below indian head ,we are going further up the island to get away from the maddening crowd,have done mackenzie many times,done Eli ( brass monkey even in summer!!!!!)done Kingfisher although Papa Smurf had gone by the time we went looking for him,had to wash all the sand out of the throat at the sand bar ,so main theme this time is to relax and go fishing and hopefully catch some more of these below ,they where caught off the beach at sandy cape on lures

    I haven't been to Fraser Island in about 20 or more years, I assume you need to have permits, barge bookings, etc. Where does one find out about such stuff?
