"Landrover" is different to "Land Rover"
That'll give you a heap more hits.
Why?
ebay UK 6060 items under Land Rover.
ebay australia 314
within 2000ks of perth 3 listings

May have something to do with the rumour I heard, that Land Rover /Landrover is made in the UK.

On a related issue, why are there two separate listings for Land Rovers for sale? Parts don't seem to be split like that.
Another reason, besides the lack of Land Rovers in general, is that as Land Rovers are a specialist item ebay isn't always the best place to sell - you can't guarantee enough interested buyers to justify an auction. I've seen pristine Series 1's passed in for less than I paid for a Series III, I've seen a Stage 1 passed in in the last few weeks for $1800 without a bid. Advertised in print media I'd expect these to command higher prices and to sell.

I've found I've been getting really good prices for Land Rover stuff I've sold on ebay. I've sent stuff to the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Austria and all over Australia. I've found that ebay provides a great platform for selling parts. Really, who could afford to advertise a light or a grille in the Trading Post. Local Print Media is probably better for cars, as people want to see what they buy and don't want to travel far. Having said this, a couple of mates have bought Defenders from interstate and even though I got mine locally, I was looking Aust. wide.
The benefit with ebay is that you can pitch your product to people with stronger currencies. I'm amazed at some of the prices I get for stuff.
A lot of the stuff in o/seas adds is generic junk - mugs, t-shirts, generic ECU plug ins etc
Agree re parts sales on ebay Michael2.

No-one's doubting you, Kie4. You'd get the same results though with 100km, I'm guessing. Why limit to WA though? What are you looking for? The big problem is that you're in an isolated part of the continent relative to the population base. BigJon in Alice Springs would have even fewer hits, unless he's listed something on ebay himself.
I find the search facility less useful than looking in the categories, but that's not turning up anything more than your search.

I have noticed the same thing. However that number isnt all that good either. Out of those 300 odd listings alot are the same seller listing things at buy it now prices. He has a shop, alot it pretty expensive but quite alot is new stuff and thats what you would pay. Matt
