Was that Redback seen at Ben Bullen today

Spotted a Disco with a campervan on the Castlereagh Hwy whilst airing up after a drive with my son and a couple of his spotty mates.

Was that you Baz? and if so why didn't you wave ?

First of all Mahn, i am highly upset and may need councelling because i was left out, this may take months to recover from.

Secondly i saw a silver D2 towing a camper looking like Baz's on my way home from town later today and i waved, i also didnt get one back. But i think dullbird is right he would be in QLD for phil's wedding, again the secret hand shake is required.

yes i do, i can vouch for that, he chases you down flashing his lights. Not really the way to get people to stop, maybe scare them. If i didnt know who it was i would have called the police.

Baz.... the time sounds right and you were crossing over the line at the dog leg at Ben Bullen...we were hiding behind the lady selling apples in the park on the right.
Well I am glad we've got the spotting protocols in place

I had the weird experience on Sunday of trying to chase down a Disco Driver with a flat rear tyre...my flashing lights and waving arms had the opposite effect...he sped up . By the time he finally got the hint some 5km down the road the tyre was farqued...I then stopped to offer assistance...he grunted "no" and lit his pipe

Ace...take no offence, it was a Father's and Son's day.

Now as it is my thread I will Hijack it.

Two of Jono's mates had never taken their 4wd's off the tarmac so the aim was show them some relatively easy tracks starting at the Zig Zag and ending up near Baal Bone Gap for a pre-dinner game of "all-terrain Croquet and how much beer can you consume at the same time".

The camping spot will for ever more be known as the Bar Baal Bone.

The track between the Newnes Rd and Ben Bullen has been graded to the extent that I expected to have to pay a toll to the Motorways Corporation...so no challenge there.

Still there though are the views :

At the rail crossing i spotted some young blokes on the left walking beside the line, and Kerry reckons she saw some cars on the right as we crossed, if i'd known it was you i would of stopped.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

I subtly pointed out the disadvantages of independent front suspension and rear leaf springs...at the top of a couple of rutted climbs they proclaimed how much fun it was getting tossed about...I had to keep stopping to let them keep up
