mmmm don't have a 4 x one. Miss 4 x in the UK. I know this sounds mad but lot nicer than here in Brisbane and stronger too. And they sell in man size , and not the girly sizes here. Even the cans in the Uk are pints not thses small one like here.
That is one of the big things i miss. I have to walk to the fidge more now:)
Rarely ever drink beer - and even then I'm struggling to finish off a stubbie. If I have to drink it, I prefer it as a shandie.
Don't ask about red wine. :D

CUB all the way :p for me
Homebrew for me:D i can create any flavour i want and improve some beers, except VB or Fosters  only replacing it improves those beers.
Then Guinness, Tooheys old, Tooths/Kent/Hunter old, Tassie Beers and Coopers.
Just availability of what ever is the beer that's easiest to aquire from the above.
Baz.
I think that may be one too many 4x for Reads.Quote:

After a six months work stint in Dandenong some years ago, I realised that there were four things wrong with Melbourne, the weather, the football, the Victorians, and Carlton beer. I currently drink these beers:-Quote:

As a matter of interest to beer drinkers, the Carlsberg & Tuborg beers made in Melbourne are quite different in colour, taste, and texture, to the real thing.
what about red wine Ron?:angel:Quote:

And it's actually a Draught, not a Stout, (the stuff on tap, or in the big black cans).
The yellow label stuff is the Stout or "porter" as the old timers call it.
I prefer Bourbon.
I usually have beer in the fridge but am not a huge beer drinker. Crownies are usually in the fridge, more for the father in law and friends. Other beers that frequent my palate are Hahn Light, Cascade light, Coopers Pale, Heineken, Grolsch and Millers. When in SA West End XXXX is OK. Used to drink Swan Gold mostly until they discontinued it, suicide for the Swan Brewery, have not drank Swan since. Powers used to be OK as well, do not know if they still make it, as was Eagle Blue.
Those green cans are horrid, no wonder the Vic's are Bitter.
Then there is the totally awfull Southwark that my grandfather used to drink. Im sure it was just Murray River water and urine.
