Luck is smiling down on me what about you?

What's the best bargain or best bit of luck you got lately?
    See what happened to me

My aged Rangie was starting to stagger around corners a bit, well a lot actually. (stagger read: sway like a boat).

I guessed it was time for new shocks and springs so I shopped about for the cheapest Kings Springs and Koni’s I could find.

After finding out the cost I thought oh well I’d best start saving.

A week or two later I went to look at an old Rangie someone was wrecking for some bits of trim and it had King Springs on it. I asked if he was selling them too he said OK as long as I removed them he wanted $100.
I thought for $100 it was worth a gamble that they were still any good .

As I was putting them on my Rangie at home I rubbed some of the muck/oil/dirt from one of the shocks. What did I find.

It’s already got Adjustable Koni’s I had a good look at them, no leaks, still a lot of resistance when compressed
I put the replacement springs on and they are great.

So what a bargain for me King Springs & Koni shocks for $100 !!!!!!

Now is this good luck or the result of what happens when your beers spiked whilst staying in Sydney?
