    A 1959 MGA, bought Easter 1977.

And yes, I've still got it.

There is something about the old blighty marques - I bought a 1972 Aston Martin in London in the mid eighties, still got that too.

    Regards
    Max P

The 1600's were supposed to be driven that way. I used to have one with a 2 litre in it and the celica 5 speed. It also had group B rally suspension and more bog than you could point a stick at. Went like the clappers. Biggest hassle was the wiring, could compete with lucas.

On my 17th birthday in 1974 I got my licence. I acquired a 1968 Fiat 124 sedan about 6 weeks earlier. Top car! Had such modern things like an ohc engine, rack and pinion steering, 4 on the floor, 4 wheel disc brakes, radial ply tyres, bucket seats and an am radio; dark blue with a contrasting beige vinyl roof. WOW!!! Went real well, too! Had it 6 months: A mate was driving it and went bush, how he missed all those trees was amazing, until he hit one......and that was the end of that...

    1972 Datsun 180B SSS Coupe

When Dad got a new(er) vehicle he gave it to me so I could get to Uni.

Went really well but she'd been bogged to kingdom come as Dad used her regularly to tow our boat

G'day All, my first foray into automobiles was a Fordson 10/10, I was about 13yo, when I was old enough for a license (17) my first real car was a Morris Cooper 'S' (Mk1) 1275 cc of pure grunt, and no I dont have it anymore, I sold it way back in 1969 anyway cheers Dennis
PS couldnt tell you how many Land Rovers I have owned over the past 35 years

My first vehicle after I got licenced was a 49 500cc AJS. Loved it.
I sold it in 57 to buy an engagement ring ( still have ). Then I bought
a 28 model 4 door, rag top, straight eight, side valve, Pontiac, unregistered. Drove it for 4 years unregistered. Then moved to Landies
for pro roo a rabbiting west of the corner.
Since then I have owned 42 other bikes, cars and semi's.
I must say that I will never part with my 92 V8i Disco.
Its having a total engine rebuild at the moment and I have just purchased a used 14ft poptop caravan so's we can go round the bend !
    Cheers.
