Does anybody know if the oil capilarates up the inside of the wires or the outside? seems too clean to be coming up the outside.
For the mean time I have reversed the ECU(the engine plug is now lowermost) and removed the rubber plug/seal on the engine ecu plug to alow the oil to drip out of the connector.
Anybody know what they call the screw type and driver size needed in the ECU.Its a star drive but has a central stud to stop you using a torx type bit.

With my experience of the dreaded oil in the harness, it does not get into the ecu box as this is sealed and the connection on the ecu box connector is pins and sealed. The oil just pools in the connector as the harness is the female side. I did try to have a look in, got the torx bolts out but could not get the cover off. Would like to as I want to see if it has been chipped, should have some sort of markings, maybe.

Good to see Betty's up and running again, Andrew!

We'll have to come over and test your 'playground'. Looks like it might not be this year, though. Next time we go to Perth we'll fly 'cause we've been a bit busy and we have to stay on top of the workload here in case we suddenly have to head off to China.
