Disappearing into my distant memory - this idea was seen on a Simca in the late sixties - and the vehicle involved looked much like the first Discovery...it also reminds of the 'Tijuana Taxis' of the time...

but that thing on the bonnet is very sus, eeecchhhhhh! (pinched from a rally car of about 1980s maybe...)

    on a disco, there's space over a - b pillars.......

    cheers, GQ

Dobbo, now i have stopped laughing from reading the replies to this thread i will have a shot at answering seriously with no reference to any number og mammory glands, jugs, boobs, tits, norks or otherwise.

The best bet would be to get a roof rack and fit the lights to that, but as tusker said roof lights arent permitted, well at least not in NSW. Matt

    as far as i heard

roof lights are permitted as long as they don't work

    decrative value only..........

just hide a cut switch somewhere to flick if the police pull you over......

it can't be illegal to have them on the roof full stop as ever second hilux has got them not to mention jeep

besides if you get pulled over just say "there roof tits officer" "would you like to cop a feel"
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

They would be strictly for offroad and paddock use only, have you ever tried to find a horse in a paddock at night?

Plus I'm itching to do a night Stockton run and good lights are a must for this also.

I thought that any light fitted to a vehicle had to work.
