    I don't believe it....

Well you wouldn't believe this would happen...

I went to pick the kids from school yesterday and as was a little early I usually park in the street to avoid the 'parents, kids and FWD car park mayhem' problems and drive in late. So I stopped in the street and a split second later...bang. What the...oh no, your joking...I don't believe this!!!

A 'sheet' of honeycomb measuring 400mm x 300mm x 50mm had dropped out of the tree onto the middle of my screen and then landed on the wipers and bonnet area. Luckily the windows were closed as now the totally pi$$ed off associated bees were attacking the car. Sounded like rapid fire pinging off the armor plating......and I am NOT getting out!!

So I rang the school..I will be late. I then rang the council and they contacted their pest controller. The pest controller rings me and said" you have a problem with bees, and suggested I just drive off" I explained to her that I have a beehive on my bonnet and even if I hit 100 mph it would still be there.....and I am NOT getting out!!!. She goes..."Oh thats why council said its a little more involved than a swarm of bees!!!

Pest controller obviously got the message now that "I am NOT moving or getting out" so she will be there in 20 minutes. She arrives 40 minutes later, gets dressed up removes the honeycomb, kills the bees and said "you can get out now". I had already flicked the bonnet to ensure all bees were accounted for so she opened it up to check....All clear!!

    Talk about funny things happen......

Mobile phone picks are here, and there are camera picks in the gallery..if only I had the time to work out how they post...

    Poor little homeless honey makers.

    now they're REFUBEES.

Send the survivors to Canberra, so they can sting Philip Ruddock and Amanda Verandastone.

Harold Scruby will be after you now, Feral...

    "4wd at school kills thousands."
    said the headline.

BTW, how are you and the kids?

I only smoke cigarettes, stevo. And I'm writing stories for my paper right now; after a while you get on a roll with headlines - crook or otherwise!

(honey flavoured cigs sounds interesing, tho')

New headline for the Gold Coast paper:

"Four wheel driving Gold Coast entreprenuer plans honey flavoured cigarette."

    Body copy:

"It just fell out of the sky, the most brilliant idea I've ever had." said the future millionaire. "And it didn't even happen to me! A feral bloke I know was impersonating Isaac Newton, but it wasn't an apple, it was a beehive!"

Yes...I did think 'should I drive into the school carpark? and had visions of 300 plus kids screaming and getting stung but all are safe

As for the honey collection...no chance. It went straight into the pest controllers garbage bag.

Suppose you didn't use the "HONEY I'M HOME" afterwards huh.

You could have save yourself 40 mins by taking the car to the local car wash, Not sure how fast a bee can fly but surely it isn't as fast as a parent who needs to wash their car before they pick their kids up from school can drive.

    Photo's look SchWEEEEEET!!
