    Disco D2 Jack

    Hi All

Last weekend while I was changing the rear pads on the disco, went to use the jack and it didn't work properly. Used to one out of the 130 instead, which is the identical jack.

I have read on here before with someone else having problems with the Disco jack.

Not sure if it a lack of use or temperature thing on these jacks because the 130 jack is older, and been used a fair bit, and lives in the cab, where as the Disco jack is newer, rarely used and lives in the engine bay.

So it looks like this weekend it will be surgery time in the jack. Strip down, clean up, replace seals and lift a vehicle!

If anyone is interested I will take pics and find all the part no's of the seals etc and post in the tech section.

    Cheers

    Andrew

A jack rebuild was just discussed in the last week or so.
Do quick search & it should save you some time.

Thanks guys I Have been thinking about that metal thing that rattles around under my bonnet. It has never been used so after reading that I had better get it out this weekend and make sure it is operational.
