Can someone tell me what WAPOL law is?

...and how do we go about getting it changed?

    Hi
I posted this stuff in a previous thread but It can't help mentioning it again:

Rim width must not exceed the maximum rim width specified by the manufacturer by more than 25mm (1")
rim width shall not exceed 177.8 mm (7") unless specified by the manufacturer as standard
The track must not be increased by more than 25mm (1") over the maximum specified by the manufacturer
No increase in rim width is permitted for vehicles fitted with original equipment rims in excess of 177.8 mm (7")

wheel is contained completely within the body work
wheel does not foul any part of the body or suspension under all conditions of travel
Rim diameters must be the same as specified by the manufacturer.
All wheels must be the same size, profile and bolt patter
Reducing the wheel track less than the original manufacturers specification is not permitted

You can only have a COMBINED TOTAL vehicle lift including tyres, wheels, shocks, body lift etc of 50mm above that of the standard vehicle.

Given this info how the hell do people get away with massive tyres then get it OK'd by licensing and insurance???
I think I'll just measure the hight of my Rangie before getting new tyres to play it safe.

WAPOL is WA Police. Technically, the law is that set by the Parliament of WA.. (A complete bunch of arrogant loonies who haven't listened to the WA public in the past, so it's unlikely they will now!)

Good thing the WAPOL doesn't exist over here!

The poor b@stards would have apoplexy!

A foot lift and foot wide is standard on old Pootrols

Saw at the Melbourne 4wd show that Mark's Adapters(?) are making portals for Pootrols.
