It was supposed to be demonstrating the failure of the Honda Civic to protect its occupants from side impacts but because they used a 4X4 for the impacting vehicle it becomes a demonstration of how dangerous 4X4's are, at least to some viewers. I doubt that the choice of vehicle was arbitrary either.
I'd like to see how the comments would change if they replaced the heavier vehicle with, say, a school bus?
