Lets hope the 380 is better than the magna it replaced, Mitsubishi had to do something, and getting rid of the bad name Magna has created for itself was a start, they still arent selling aswell as they should be.
And i am sick of hearing the pajero dakar link, its all ****, the only thing they have in common is name, the rest is a roll cage with a fibreglass shell and purpose built suspension, its like comparing a V8 supercar to its equivalent, they have nothing but name and shape in common. Matt
Exactly. They are "silhouette" class racing.Purpose built race cars masquerading as production cars. The only difference between the two names in Super V8's is the engines, and a minor difference in body shape. Bathurst October lost its significance to me when they went away from price based production sedan racing. you could buy a Holden GTS350 from any Holden Dealer any time of the year. It was a production model 81837. Torana GTR 82911 with production option XU1 were built in batches of 220 for homologation purposes and could be bought or orderedfrom any Holden dealer. When CAMS changed the rules so that that cars that could not be readily bought in Australia, or bought at all in OZ, could race atBathurst then the race lost its significance &importanceto theOz. motor racing enthusiast. By this I mean the turbo Sierras, thefactory XJ12's, the Nissanm Godzillas. Wen these were adfmitted the race no longer was anAustralian production car race.Quote:

Point taken, but either way they are designed and built by the same company. I personally like the Pajeros, i certainly dont see it as a dakar winner, and i am sure like all other brands there are good ones and bad ones, god as Land Rover lovers we should know that. mattQuote:

I've just bought a Mitsu Delica for round-about town and light offroading (down to Cooma along our rutted and slippery dirt roads). So far I'm bloody impressed with the thing. Built in Japan, solid as a rock and based on the '95 Pajero mechanicals inclusing the tubo/intercooled 2.8 diesel. Very compfy and piles of room. I could have bought a HiAce van - but I hate Toyota.
Don't know how far this is off topic, but...Quote:

Just a couple of questions.
:D
Back to Mitsu bagging.
Cheers
