Welcome, Kerrie.
Is yours a seven seater?
If so, re rig the kid seats and get one or two to ride in the rear.
If not, it may be time for a people mover.
Or you could put the capsule in the rear, but I didn't say that.
Good luck.

Hi, im new to this forum so im sorry if this is not an appropriate question to put to you enthusiates, but i need some advise. Please.
We have a 2000 Diesel Series 11 Disco and at the moment we have 2 kids. This might be a question for the women but anyway. Id like to know if anyone has 3 kids that require a 5 anchor point seats in the back. If yes then what have you got.
We currently have a rearward facing seat that DS is in (the middle) and we also have a Maxi Rider that DD is in. They are both Safe'n'Sound chairs. Ideally id love another Maxi Rider but because its such a large chair 2 wont fit. Im trying to avoid wasting money and buying another rearward facing chair as DS wont be in it for long enough.
Bub #3 is due in June and DS will be 18months to give you some idea of my dilemma. Any info would be appreciated.

I don't know - have another LR entirely - but with previous vehicles I've found that a tape measure is a good idea. Check the width of the car (between the armrests) and the width of your child seats. This is a long-term investment as they'll be in these for a few years. You'll need seats you can get 3 of across while forward-facing, by the sound. By 18 months DS should handle forward-facing fine. The seats are manufactured to a standard, so narrower isn't really a problem, it's just not as fashionable. It's a pity to not get the use from your larger seat, but I can't see how you'll avoid having to swap it for a narrower one.Originally Posted by Series 11
Using the 2nd AND 3rd row seats isn't really an option, even if you have them. And many people-movers have the same trouble - only one row of seats will take the child anchorages.
Good luck!

Why not get a baby seat that can do both forward facing and rear-facing?
Safe and Sound Compaq is slightly narrower to fit three across small cars and will do 0-18kg.
I have had three S&S Compaqs across the back of our Subaru Liberty.
Also, if you have two facing forward and middle one facing rear they should fit in a space that you couldn't fit three facing forward.
I've also fitted two S&S Royale - wide baby seats - with a Compaq in the middle in the back seat of our Defender. It can be done, just involves much swearing and stuff thrown about to get them in.
You're not in the wrong place, btw, there have been several enthusiastic anchor point threads here over the past couple of years.

Quiggers, no its not a seven seater and id cringe to think people put littlys in the back back anyway, Sorry.
Scrambler, DS is forward facing now, thats the problem. I need a chair thats going to accomodate him for now as well as when he gets older.
Abaddonxi, i didnt really want another chair that does both, i think its a waste of money really. I only really need one of those and i already have one. Lol, i understand the swearing and stuffing around to get the damn things in. We do that now if we have to get them out for some reason. Im not looking forward to DH trying to get the next one in. The poms dont really think properly when building these cars do they.
Thanks heaps for your replies. Much appreciated.
