Brock beat me up, claims ex-wife

these sort of shock-horror stories pop up from time to time after someone has died or been in the news. a distant aquiantance, in this case, ex-wife, has come forward with a story to sell to the highest bidder. i'd guess the highest bid may not have been that high. it's probably turned up in a tabloid and a major has picked it up from here on a slow news day.
i'm not codoning spousal abuse, only a coward would beat or abuse his wife or girlfriend. i never met brocky, i'm a ford person and nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors (there's a song in there), but since his most recent relationships have been given such a glowing report and he's not around to defend himself, you gotta give him the benefit of doubt.
it's well documented that people who engage in this sort of behaviour, continue along the same path over and over again.

I can't believe Peter Perfect was any different & she should be given some credence.

No doubt her experiences can be substantiated by friends & others, so the truth will out one day.

That is a truly horrific story, I feel for his wife and kids, that is something no one should go through

It rocked us I can tell you.
She couldn't leave as he had threatened to hunt her down & kill her & the kids & bury them where they wouldn't be found, & just explain it away as they had left home. He was an avid gun collector & had an "arsenal" of legal weapons, so I suppose it was justice that he was killed by one of his own guns.
She had confided in a few people & they had suggested she leave, but of course she couldn't. She really loves her children, & now can watch them grow up, but who can say what scars they must carry.

This is all on public record from the trial.



So, make sure you always put the dunny seat down after use, or you too could finish up like this. :)

If Brock did beat her that is a pretty low act, but given she has decided to come out with this, after they split up and he found someone else, and he has now passed on so he is unable to defend himself i think it should be taken with a pinch of salt. If we ignore it and dont get all hyped up she wont really have anything to sell. Matt

Mind you sportsman who becomes good and famous and sunddenly has more money than he knows what to do with , and then turns to too much drink. which then make him lary and get into trouble
If these storys are ture then he was before his time. Look at all the football players in Aus and the soccer players in the Uk . They are always getting into trouble for alot worse:)

Going to honest and say that before i came to Aus did not know who he was. But he had a second wife Did he not. She should be able to squash therse rumours or maybe not

He was married to Bev Brock for 28 years. He changed to a new woman a couple of years ago. I'd heard Bev was not too glowing in her comments about Brocky when he died.

Brock told Bev, "calmly and dispassionately", that: "I have plans for my future and I don't see any role for you in them."

The whole wife beating thing seems totally out of character for him.
Womanizer, well Bev stayed with him for 28yrs and would have stayed longer if he hadn't up and gone and as the article Ron linked states "she knew about the other women" this is there private life and should stay private.

Who are we to judge him, I don't belive one person on this forum is perfect, why should the late Mr Brock be?

Two days ago I had the Peter Perfect image of Brock, a racing legend and a gentleman. (and I don't even like Holdens)

Now all I can think of is a dirty old yobbo getting lap dances off pitgirls inbetween races, oh and belting them up if they refuse.
