I can't see the fasination after all

It's only a bit more than half a Defender anyway

Now a D110, D130 or series III (there a real Landy)

Phil I'm not after a bite, it's just my observation that the 90 is a few inches to short for proper offroad use thats all. Sure it's fine for a poser mobile, I'll admit it does look good, but, it's too short for touring (unless you have a trailor) and it's to tippy for offroading (unless it's light stuff)

i think thats a pretty strong statement dobbo, assuming you have never driven one

and that it is the car of choice in the uk for offroad..........

Your assuming I have never driven one, and you know what happens when you assume don't you?

I have driven one, not offroad, but I have driven one. I liked it but where to put the kids and camping equipment? Like I said no good for touring.

Off road well I can only judge what I have seen with my own two eyes.

exactly that is what i'm talking about assuming you have never driven one

i ment off road as i thought you did when you were saying that it was no good

as for the touring your absurlutly right!!!! a 90 is a comprimise but it doesn't take a genius to work out that a car with realistically 2 front seats is not a great tourer for a family

I don't know my 90 has seen more of Aus than most Landies on this site

I would prefer a 90 to a 110 anyday for off roading. The 90 makes the 110 feel like a whale on tracks.
The rangie classic and seris 1 disco are ok off roading but have too many bits overhanging on them. I know they are on 7 1/4 inches longer than the 90 .
They all have their pros and cons. The 90 did need a off road trailer as they have no room in the back for all you stuff and with the trailer on does stop them feel like you are riding a kangeroo on corrigations.
