Not entirely true, I have underlined two problems with the D90

A: It has no room for touring or fitting children

B: It does not like extreme angles

I realise it can go most places a Rangie, Disco or D110 will go but can get hung up due to the chassis length (or lack of)

An what the hell do you need to pack kids for??? sounds like a wast of good room for beer and fishing gear.
Only kidding....I love dogs....well not yours, just my dog.

interesting never really heard of short wheel bases getting hung up,,,,,,thats usually the longer wheel bases due to there brake over angle.

i suppose you learn something every day

Think of it like Landy's last for years, potentially a well maintained landrover defender could well last beyond its owner

Could you all see a D90 lasting you through all of your life?

Through offroading, touring, Kids, humdrum everyday tasks (the whole lot)?

You potentially could with a D110. With a 110 , if you have kids no worries (just someone else to take offroad) want to tour the world without a trailor in tow, want to tow a horse float or something else of similar weight (forget it in a 90)

A 90 is a very capable machine, but like you all say it has limitations, a 110 is still a very capable machine which in stock standard trim I have yet to see the limitations of.

I could honestly see a Defender 110 being the first and only car someone would need to buy throughout their entire driving life

I cannot see this with the D90 poser machines.

As for offroad ability I have not seen anywhere a 90 has gone that a 110 cannot, I have however seen a D90 get caught up in a boghole that the length of the chassis meant the front wheels were slightly to short to get it out of. Whilst the 110 went through.

A don't have kids so don't care and have a camper trailer

B Boy i would rather be in a 90 on extreme angles than most other and belive me i have taken 90's to their limts

If you want we could find a boghole and try it out, I know of just the one.

was that a gauntlet i heard hitting the floor. If we could get together me in my 90 and you in a 110 and i will show you where a 90 can go and a 110 can't.
110 is cable don't get me wrong but not when the going get very very tough. The 90 comes through with its 17 1/4 Inche shorter wheel base.

Hey Dobbo! You can be constructive without having to chuck rocks at people....calling 90s a 'poser vehicle' is over the top. Play nicely

For what it is worth, I LOVE 90s!!!!

What happened to Disconut's 90? I recall it was for sale.

O.K poser machine was a bit hard

But you could potentially pose around the city in a D90 a lot easier than you could in a D110, you have to admit that.
