I just aked at work for an extra day off and the missus gave me the OK too :D:D:D
So I can camp if others are but if not then the beach & a bbq sounds good to me.
Could kinda go something like:
Meet Wanneroo somewhere to Pinjar powerstation hills to couple of old quaries north of powerstation to forest tracks out to Wanneroo road, up bitumen and into Moore river hills and river crossings back out to Seabird, and up beach to Lancelin, but that would be quite an long day.
Some interseting sections, nice scenary, water, hills and not all just sand driving. Nothing too hard, nothing too easy (except bit of bitumen) and some tricky sections if you wanted them. Would need a bit of a recce / refresher first though, unless you were interested in exploring and didn't mind turning back a few times.
Sounding better all the time:cool:

Sounds like it will be a great day out.
I was just wondering about the river crossing though, has anyone done it before? How deep might it be, I don't have a snorkel, (well I do but the Rangie doesn't).
Apart from that sounds great, went through pinjar forest along the powerline track a few months back it's very easy going, but I do like the forest. It makes a nice change from sand.
There are some places in the Pines that aren't as easy as the limestone and sand logging tracks (and thats not including the mud holes that you ain't supposed to be in). Nothing too tricky though.
Moore River crossings would probably be anything up to 1.79 inches deep at this time if year (that is if you dug a 1.29 inch deep hole). More likely to need a straw than a snorkle.
If you really want deep water you can always try heading west from the beach.
Hi Steve
Fret not much you dont have electronics:cool:
The only place I have played in the Moore River is out the back of Guilderton Farms(Sumichs) were we used to work, not deep at all but fun.
Well you could talk the better than you 1/2 to get you one for Xmas,JUST IN CASE OF TEMPEST ETC:cool:

Andy:
I have electronic ignition box, (fireball or something like that) the last one I totally fried trying to jet wash my engine bay :(
So after getting a new one shipped from the states and a few hours of fiddling I steer well clear of all water if I can.
I need to waterproof it big style :D
