Thumbs up Trip 2nd Jan 2007 - First trip of the Year ?

    Hi All

I have an extra day off on the 2nd of Jan.
Anyone else off work and up for a trip some where on that day?

I don’t mind where, anywhere within an hour or there abouts of Perth CBD.
I have one of those “Day Trips from Perth” books. If anyone else is up for it I could make a couple of suggestions from there?

Go on, set your year off with a good day off-roading, you know you want to (Chuck a sickie if you need to ).

Nice one, I'll swat up a bit and see what looks good.
Unless anyone else comes up with anything.

    Hi Steve and Richard
Something easy would be Willbinga, just north of Wanneroo.I used to live up there, went down there a fair bit from the Woodridge end when we lived there.
See how we go,very interested, try and catch a fishy or 2.As I say its a while since I was up there but shouldnt take too much to work the tracks out(there are lots of them).
Will be on annual leave for a few weeks so could be worth a camp on the beach for the nite????

    1st trip of the year

At last one I can come along to. Count me in, anywhere will do but not too stressful, going away on the 6th so mustn't break anything. Wilbinga sounds good, went up there during the winter and had a BBQ lunch at Guilderton. Could maybe carry on up to Lancelin along the beach from Ledge Point. Steve

Andy are you talking about the Willbinga to Seabird track?
Sounds like a good idea, a nice easy day out without much chance of damage

I have never been on that track but I heard of it, and I have directions in my book, so we won't get lost

If you have done it before would it be an OK track for a standard Pajero? I have a mate who has one and I thought I might ask him if he wants to go.

    1st trip of the year

Steve, Wilbinga is OK for a Paj, anyway plenty of helpers if he gets bogged. Steve

Always open for Ideas, including BBQ, fishing, going a bit further.
    Not necessarily in that order.
I'll just go with the flow!

Andy : about your campout idea, I have work the next day but I could get another day off if I ask nice, I'll have to subtly mention it to the missus and see if she hits the roof or not

So for me it would be a MAYBE
I would still go on the 2nd though and just head home later in the day.

    Keep the ideas coming guys.
Dont have to do a camp out,its pretty hard for us anyhow.
Could spend the nite at the mother inlaws in Padbury the nite before and after to save a big trip in one hit.
Even just going in to Wilbinga a bit of beach driving and some swiming and a BBQ would be fine.
