    Another D3- 1- piece of crap 0

    G'day All,

Well, I've learnt my lesson , I let SWMBO take my beasty out this evening, and an hr or so again got the call....." Ive been in an accident" . Now thank goodness she is ok, and ummm I have to keep reminding her, that her well being is paramount, cause well I kinda freaked out . Anyway jumped in her XR6 with the brats down to the accident scene. The damager walked over and off the bat " Are you the one who hit my car"........ummm yes. Then proceeds to tell me he was doing less than 60km's. I was prepared to keep my cool till then........" what a load of ****ing bull**** mate, no way you were doing less than 60km, she has a witness". Bloody hit my missus and beasty, ya better watch out. Meanwhile I check out the damage to my precious, him and his posse standing there, I then check out the accident scene, my rear guard getting run over by thoughtless motorists . I again turn to him, again confront him on his less that 60kms, and he says he didnt even see the car............hmmm my response........."Mate, how can you not, its a ****ing big car with street lights galore". Anyway give him my insurance details and off he goes. Then after he has gone I go and check out his vehicle, it used to look like a corolla or some smaller vehicle of sorts. That thing is nailed, 60 kms my ****, so I took some pics of his car as proof. Now the D3 aint pretty either, back left rear has been mashed, you can see the exhaust through the hole, but I can tell you if SWMBO was in the XR6 it would have been a far site worse. As she said she was glad she was in the D3 because the impact, though causing some damage ( I reckon at least $5k if not more) was nothing compared to twit features. So Im now downing quite a few cold ones and later will post some pics of mine and theirs. She is obviously still upset because of a) the accident and b) my car, and my response was " Well I cant sell it now, can I"

    Regards

    Stevo

This might be a sign Steve, the gods are making it not fit for sale, oh well looks like you will have to keep it.

Glad to hear all concerned are ok, thats all that matters. I think you did remain very composed though, if my missus dinged my D3 (this is on the basis i could afford one) i would have broken down in a heap and cried.

If someone runs into your rear it's their fault, Stevo.

    Don't get mad, get even!

Yeah, and I know where you're coming from, have a beer and don't worry, as long as she's not damaged, **** happens eh? Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!

If it happens again, train her to back over them a few times!!! LOL

This sounds like a golden opportunity to get a steel rear bar from your insurance company. Bet a steel ARB bar is cheaper than a factory D3 bar.
    Glad your wife is ok.

Thanks for the comments, though wasnt the rear, it is the rear side. She was turning right ie at a T section, and this guy must have been flying as he clipped the very rear side. He admits he didn't even see her, and if he was doing less than 60km it wouldnt have caused the damage it did, moreso to his car. Mind you a rear steel bar would have reduced the damage a bit. They both had clear vision so in terms who is at fault will be up to the assessors, the witness to the accident reckons he was definately going over the speed limit. Most likely will post some pics in the morn, beer is kicking in .
