No land rover hire in tasmania i'm afraid. I think thrifty or one of them does hire pajeros or 100 series cruisers. Check closely though as some are restricted where they are allowed to go. some won't allow vehicles on bruny island, others not on the western explorer road, and most not allowed on beaches.

I'm sure that we can have tea with them one night, probably even a real bed as well, we've got a spare double bed here. Better check on a specific date though as we are up and about the place a bit in febuary.

    I'M IN!!!

All I need is some dates and we'll get them some accomodation and food, trips, vehicle servicing etc etc.

Glad to help, and meet some very well travelled people!

I'm running a LROC (Sydney Branch) Inc. trip to Tassie from 30th Jan to 25th Feb 2007 with five Landys.
I've sent them an email and maybe we'll meet up with them for some of the trip.

    Certainly will JC

As we plan to spend a few days based near Hobart, is there a camping spot or caravan park you could recommend? I noticr on the Hema map there is a camping spot marked at Kingston but it is not mentioned in Boiling Billy's 'Camping Guide to Tasmania.

Intend doing Jeffrey's Track and day trips from Hobart area south to Huon Valley, Tahune Forest area etc.

Looks like we may link up with Robert and Martine and their friends but due to timing of their visit this may not take place until we are over on the east and north east coast.

    Looking forward to further communication.

    Regards,
    Roger

    Hi LiutenantRover
Not sure that they are going thru Kalgoorlie, but I could be wrong. They are in Albany at the moment, they will be heading to Esperance shortly then over east.
Send a PM to CraigE as they will be staying there whilst in Esperance,he could ask them.
They are appreciative of any offers of a place to park for the nite and share a meal and chat.
