i thought grog was banned over there
G`day all one of the blokes at work found this article in Sundays evening post out here in Dubai, after the rain, warning people about some of the mechanical dangers of driving during the wet period.
Sorry about the quality of the scan, but you will get the general idea.
This article had a couple of us rolling around laughing, and the sad part is, there are probably people out there who try to learn from this crap.
This really gets my vote, for worst article of the year, have a read and laugh, and try to spot the odd mistake here and there, then try to explain to me, the meaning of accelerator boots!

now that has me in two minds... (assuming the quotes are accurate)
1. do I go over there and charge like a wounded bull to do half ass bodgie repairs that would seem to the customer to be the best work they've ever seen...
or
3. Do I run like hell from a safety standpoint if thats the quality of mechanicing that keeping the vehicles on the road.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I think it is possible that the article was originally written in a language other than English - and then translated into English by someone whose knowledge of the subject was nil. Reminds me of a sign I saw some years ago on the waterfront at Ras al Kaimur - it was dual language; I could not read the Arabic - and I still have no idea what the English version said. I think it was talking about where you could anchor, but I'm not sure. It seemed to have been translated literally from the Arabic by someone who had no idea about boats or marine matters.

Truly brilliant!
Its actually a coded message for CIA/US military operatives and the like.
The word Axis the clue - and 'loosening' means that invading Iran is now unlikely, due to impending bad weather. It also means that all US military vehicles in the area should expect heavy weather in the coming winter.
