Thread: What's your LR's name?

I have named my 76 2 door R Rover OGRE he loves to drive in mud,rocks,sand and loves the bush surrounds. He is also green and runs a V8 for grunt.

The series 2 disco we call the truck, our old defender we called the defer and our series 3 we call the landy

My kids call my D2 TD5 "Daddy's Truck" but it is affectionately known in our 4x4 club as the "Mack Truck"....largely due to the muffler and resonator being removed and it sounding a bit more throaty

Not long after I got my Disco I went camping with mates, they had Patrols and an F100. One of the Patrols was named Poosie, the other The Squid (because it was always blowing smoke), the F100 was Big Chief and the Disco got named Disco Box, and then changed to Retro Box (because it's a 91 model) which has stuck ever since.

My Disco is called Prostate because the incontinence in the transmission leaves drips every were

Well when I bought the series 2a GS we had a T crown sedan called "Panthus" so the Rover got called "Aggie" by the family, Aggie & Panthus = Aggiepanthus a garden plant I am imformed
