Yeah there is quite a few 6.5L V8 Chev diesels getting around in landcruisers, a think a company in perth does the swap.
Don't know the cost or the chances of fitting a landy. I assume a major driveline uograde would be required.
And part ownership in a petroleum company.
I have seen in Brisbane two 90's Range Rovers with GM 6.5 turbo diesels installed. One had a late LandCruiser5speed trans, don't know what the other one had. Both were very tidy professional installations, done by a firm at Strathpine but don't recall the name. Fuel economy should be good as these are truck engines and won't be working hard unless you absolutely paste them. RR V8's were notorious gas hounds so may be quite a bit cheaper on fuel.
