Its the same production/camera team from 'Long Way Round minus Ewen McGregor. That was another good series to watch. I would give my left nut for a honda Africa Twin like the old dakar bikes,

wish I had the finances to do another OZ safari or even a Dakar...
was talking to Michael Denham the other day (nav, Trans Vent Team) and they are building up a new Mitsu Trytoo to replace the old Paj Evo. Talk is that the Euro teams are coming out next year for the Safari.

Hello, justinc, how did you get to be involved in the Dakar?

I would love to go there to be part of a team and also to see those countries they pass through.
I suppose you need a lot of money to buy a place on the support team.
Yes, it surely a crazy race and sadly sometimes people die doing it as Aussie Andy Caldicot did last year when he fell off his bike. He was an experienced racer.

there is going to be another 'Long way around', think the title is the 'long way down', which is all over South Africa, filming starts early 2007 from what I have read.

Sorry, only OZ Safari. I would LOVE to do a Dakar event, although it seems a lot tougher probably due to the length and terrain differences encountered.
