Thread: Knowing when you're in over your depth!

l admire a man who has absolute faith in his 4wd regardless of model/make and plunges into a torrent of fast flowing water without

stopping to check the depth by any means whatsoever
sending a passenger across on foot to check depth and speed of water flow
without putting a blind on front of car to protect radiator/fan/motor
not having a snorkel fitted to his car
not taking any engine electrical protection under bonnet before plunging in
putting car into reverse and backing out of the water

would love to read his insurance coverage note

Probably one of the reasons why the D3 is the BEST 4WD IN THE WORLD!

He did have a snorkel!

It was in the Strata Florida 'green lane' in Wales. The driver has been over the route many times.

I think I know what the passenger said when asked to check the water depth!

I would have added a blind, but then again, I don't think I'd be brave enough to go into water moving like that!
