    G'day All

Took this good lookin chik out for a drive today round some back roads. If u blokes on the mainland rekon u hve a drought then imagine what its like here in Tassie where generally it rains 200 days of the year and drips outta the trees the other 100 days.

    See below,

    G'day Dave

Yep, top Fender. I'm slowly turning it into a great touring platform. That was the reason why I asked the question re the LR hubs and the ALKO suspension.

Pat, Its in the south of the state between Bothwell and Hamilton at a place called "Hollow Tree". The big house you can see has been there since about 1878 and the pond and lawn have NEVER dried up that I'm aware of.

Unfortunately this is not drought we are seeing but the first real evidence of Global Warming. I'm sorry to read about the ol cow. I was brought up on a farm and can remember not mcuh about bovine illness except "bloat" which is almost always fatal unless the rumen is punctured using a Trocha or some other sort of instrument to relieve the pressure.

Predominately the north and North West. Been in Slobart for about 7 years just to keep a bloody stupid job that pays a ****load of money but is slowly killing me.

I seriously can't think of any place in Tassie I haven't been. Thats not to say there isn't somewhere. Look us up when u arrive.

    Cheers to u all,

Yeah i'll have to do a catch up down there. It will be my second visit. I did the East and South the first time this time we are going West. I will be based out of Lonnie (Riverside). I love the climate down there and saw snow for the first time on Mt Wellington.

You don't have to go up the mountain for snow. This was shot from my balcony. It shows snow down to the water line on Bruny Island.

    Tassie is dry!

Don't tell my wife that as when we camped there in Jan 05 it rained most of the trip.
Actually maybe I should tell her and then we could go back for another go

Fantastic place and I'd love to live there for a bit to really explore the place but not so sure I could survive when your Summers are about equal to our Qld Winters
