    Safety idea..

    Ive just sent of a set of pms to the guys who are part of my hifalutent trip coming up on the weekend...

    It was a "if you dont hear from me by xxxx please call me on"

    10 seconds after i hit send I remebered a thread about an emergancy assist DB for Aulroians and the like and it while supported in theory it had flaws....

    So what about a spot where people can post a "I'm going here there everywhere and will be back by xyz" item sort of like a mini version of my helluva holiday thread with a set of contact numbers that are hidden until a certain time/event with a simple password protection..

    If they dont show up to delete the post at time X it allows their first contact number to be shown so they can be contacted and if alls well remove their post or pass on the password to remove the post if theres some simple reason (no internet) that they cant do it. If its not deleted by say x+4 hours then the second set of numbers which are the emergancy contact numbers will become visable and a pm/email will be sent to a nominated aulroian.

    The first part of the area it would be in would be a list of members by area that are online enough to partake in the scheme and are happy to do so, You select one of them to be the person notified as part of compiling the message and they get a pm from that letting them know that your about in the area.

    the plans changed... charleville is no longer in the run for reasons beyond my control so the sunday run will be a little more relaxed..
