you would be surprised at number of truck drivers who dont check to see if their semi trailer prime movers are properly locked onto the trailers they just do a reverse bump underneath and then drive forward instead of getting out and locking on the turntable then they drive off and first turn they come to the trailer goes one way and the truck goes another.

They all claim mechanical fault on the turntable but proper investigation shows 99% of time driver lazness and bad habits to be the true cause

Sometimes with drastic consequences as for instance a Fox driver hauling a pertol tanker lost it going around the corner at the entrance to the freeway by over the yarra in Melb outside the swimming pool and the tanker went into the pool building.
