Anything will pig root, especially going up hill with a poor traction (loose/rocky) surface. I've seen it done in Bedfords, Isuzus and even 6X6 trucks (although they just tend to chatter away in the one spot).Quote:

Going uphill increases the chance of pigrooting, especially if its borderline, but if its setup properly it wont pigroot. It's about the suspension geometry but suspension lift exacerbates it. There are a lot of trucks that don't pigroot and if they're setup properly they wont.
My old man got one for a work car, Had a look underneath and the lowest point of contact under the car is the transfer case and the fuel tank. We took it for a drive and they drive great on the tar but when we tried to do a u turn in the gutter( one of those gentley slopeing dirt gutters) we got hung up, had to get out and push back till i got a wheel on the ground, unbelievable, a gutter. I can't for the life of me understand why they are rated as a great "bush tough tourer" yeah it's got a 180 ltr tank but thats the first thing that will get dammaged where it is then you've got nothing.

I think I would actually prefer the Prado (with some mods) over a 100 series.

The playdo is a nice smooth wellbuilt CAR , they sell for the same reason mitsu advertise the poojero as winning dakar 11 years running - even though there is hardly a factory mitsu part left on the dakar vehicles !:twisted:
