Once there were 5 now there are 4

Well, what a **** house day we had yesterday, and it was Marcos' birthday and everything.

We went to Rylstone to stay at mum and dads to take marcos to the indoor play centre at Mudgee on his birthday (yesterday). Got home at lunch time and heard the dogs fighting in the garage at my parents place, by the time i got into the garage from the back door one of the dogs was dead. For those who know our dogs it was Astro the little black one. A fight must have started when they all got reved up when the heard us coming down the road (the back door was open so they could go to and from the garage into the back garden). Gizmo and Astro have faught on numerous occasions before and everytime we go out we lock them up serparately but on the one occasion we didnt. This has been happening for a while, Gizmo growls as Astro walks past cause Astro does nothing but harass him, initially it was just growling then it turned to fighting, never serious though, we never pictured it ending like this.

The end result, a dead dog, an upset Stacey (very upset he was her first ever dog) and a house that will never feel the same again. When they die of cancer or old age you can accept it cause you get time to come to terms with it, but when it happens like this, so suddenly its hard to swallow. Matt

**** don't know what to say but but sorry.

I adopted a second dog into my house a few years back and she had a lot of fights with my first girl... got to a point i thought i'd have to find the new one another home... they finally settled after a year but she still has a growl at my first sometimes.

I really feel for you guys.

Sorry to hear that Mat. Not a pleasant thing to come home to. What is it at the moment, dead dogs, sick cows. What next?

That's not a good start to the year Matt.
It can only get better from here.

On a brighter subject, how'd Marcus enjoy his 2nd birthday ?

    Sorry to hear that Matt.

Loosing a pet is like loosing a member of the family and nothing can be said that helps.

    Damn.

Mate - domestic animals are very special things - because as much as we choose them, they choose us. Everything for a reason..I guess...
Hopefully this one did it's job (whatever that was - usually some kind of healing - they love unconditionally, no?) and you have some good memories.

The only thing you can do is be aware that while it was here it was loved unconditionally back by you both, and had a good life, that you created for it.
    Many dont get that.

probably doesn't help but consolations anyway.

    Will.
