I ditched the lock nuts also. BTW, I think Devondale make them with reduced salt now. Anyway, I bit the bullet and got raped by the stealer, but that place at Silverwater Sydney may stock them. Karcraft? I cant recall what they were called.
Anyone know where I can get 4 wheel nuts for alloys to replace the stupid lock nuts on my truck? I also need a set to go with my steels. The Stealers want $31 each for the alloy jobs!!!!!
Pack of bastards.
Can anyone help?

Many years ago (15?) i used to own a Dodge Phoenix which had reverse thread wheel nuts, as you can imagine i scoured the earth when i stripped one.
I found a place that would manufacture them for me in Moorrabbin near the airport.... the name thats in my head is Barrys Nuts, but a look in the phone book doesn't yield any clues .... i have a feeling they may now be???

Oh and they cost me bugger all, something like $20 for 5
I got some 5 for $15-20, can't remember the exact price. Only thing is the tin cover (silly thing anyway) either falls off or (the 2 that haven't) are rusting, but then that's no big deal.

I also replaced mine. Got mine mailed to me from Graeme Cooper in Sydney.

Re the Chrysler wheel nuts, they used them for thirty or more years up to and including the AP6 Valiant, & should have been readily available from any Chrysler dealer. Val. parts were cheap. Also, I can't imagine why you couldn't find a standard size UNF left hand nut and get someone to turn a taper on the end. I can supply left hand taps and dies in all standard UN & metric sizesand pitches, and many "specials".

The Dodge had larger wheel nuts than the Vals' .... if my memory serves me correctly? ...Val's ran 7/16" wheel nuts upto 1979 and the Dodge Phoenix had 1/2"Re the Chrysler wheel nuts, they used them for thirty or more years up to and including the AP6 Valiant, & should have been readily available from any Chrysler dealer. Still should have been able to get them from any Chrysler dealer as the bigger cars from the 40's & 50's and the Dodge pick-ups had them for many years.Originally Posted by grumpybastard
