There's an Statesman 01 WH2 V6 (74000ks + FSH) at a yard nearby for $19k, had to take a pic of it for my paper, very flash!

Put $14k on it and see what happens.

If your not using it and see no need anytime soon then sell it. Depreciation sucks (unless your buying a Land Rover ) but consider how much money you will save in servicing, rego, insurance etc. Also don't forget that every day you put it off it is worth less and less.

That said it isnt really costing me that much keeping it either, just rego and insurance.

And if i keep it with the low kays its currently doing it will easily last another 10 years

Trouble is tho, that in another ten years it will just be another old Holden, sadly. They were nice cars, those Statesmans...

But in twenty years it will be a curiousity, an enthuiasts car and ready for club rego.

Personally, I'd move it on, it may be nice but it's not a Lamborghini Espada.

It's all money though. Just think how much that money could be making you (instead of costing you). Even if you only banked it at 5.5% or so. Better still pay off some extra of your home loan if you have one.

Yeah it would go a long way to paying off the D2, or providing petrol for a year

IMO, if not used on a day to day basis get rid of it.

Debt reduction is the way to go in this uneasy climate.

Faced the same dilema 6mths ago with my bike. Aquired a company car & so as not using the bike for daily transport anymore it began to gather dust. House renovations dominated my life so weekend rides were getting rarer. It ended up not turning a wheel at all for about 4mths so after procrastinating as long as possible I decided to sell. Too much money tied up sitting & depreciating & it wasn't a very insurance friendly sort of a bike either.
