Aussie Land Speed records? You got room at the end of the convoy? Petrol head from way back. I can still vividly remember Donald Cambell's Blue Bird, taking about a seven point turn on the float to get around the corner at the Pump Hotel in Aldgate for his attempt back in the sixties. W e even had a half day of school to see it come through the town.

one of our other aulroians is a decendant of indigenous australians, we were away and sitting around the campfire chatting. i knew his job was something medical and wasn't sure if he was a nurse or a paramedic. i asked him if he was an "AMBO" with a disapproving grin he said yes and i asked him what station he was at. he paused for a sec and said "what did you ask me?", i repeated the question and he said "oh, no i'm a nurse".
what did you think i said? he replied "are you an ABO"
just goes to show why your parents put so much emphasis on pronunciation.

I think that is a theory for quantum travelers .....Italian's touring the globe to concour ccountries ..... their boats would go backwards faster than forewards like their military muscle of the 1939-1945 WW2 .
Aussies would then be known for bad mullets with fringe afro's , driving fully sikk commadores , and not being able to swim without drowning from all the gold around their necks .The Italian women would have low hair lines .....starting at their top lips and working back .
Aussie dress codes for men would be ...their little brothers shirts and slip on shoes
Aussie women would be wearing black hessian bags and big arsed shoes .
All the Aussie men would look like Super Mario Bro's lolol and driving Niva's as they are just an overlander Fiat
