    Been AWOL.

Okay okay. So I've dropped off the face of the planet for a little while there. Now I gotta start trying to catch up and keep up again XD! I hope everyone had a good Chrissy and New Years in spite of the fact that I wasn't around here to wish them to you at the time. To be honest, the Christmas just gone handed my family and I a pretty difficult time, so I've been focused on other things, busy with helping get our lives back on track. I'm dearly missing 4WDing, but my driver/partner Mat now works weekends so I dont get the chance to get out much with you guys. Though I'm no doubt positive no one's missed us. I think we get towed more places than we drove anyways!? ! But it was fun, and now I'm feeling lonely. Well not really lonely, but I miss it, miss the adventures and fun and laughter. I'm getting nostalgic, that's probably quite dangerous. I'm not -old- enough to be nostalgic. Coming of age in...uhm....2 months. Should I have a 21st? No wait, now I know what to ask for for my 21st...and Landrover XD...I can only dream. Who knows, someone might buy me a matchbox car version. On the other hand, I am interested to know, who wants to teach me how to -drive- a 4x4 so's I can get out with ya more. Well, and central coasties interested in getting a good laugh at me?!

Nice to see you back young man, hope the family thing gets worked out.

I am sure there will be a few chaps around the central coast who you can hitch a lift with on a drive or two.

Have we now proved that Nev is tougher than your Landrover?! I have to admit, we had the light-weight advantage, but still. His gearbox clunks 2nd 4th and reverse now. Dont tell Mat though, he thinks everything is just dandy. I reckon we've bent a mount. He's too muddy for me to get under there and -check- though. You wanna wash him for me?!

And the party will presumably be the weekend after. Heh, I'd have it on the 4th, but...I have to work the next day!? That's -if- Mat lets me have one. On the other hand he cant really stop me, since he's workin' so very very hard on weekends!

What's this about prying anyways?! I -have- a key to Nev. I drive him when Mat's got the Rodeo...*grins wickedly* Maybe I should just go bush and leave him for dead. But then, I'd be the one to break the car, and probably therefore the one that has to fix it! XD...

Pseudo Army course Dave? Nearly 40 yrs ago now, and I still remember the redhair burly sargeants promise of a bayonet in the leg, if he ever caught me "riding" the clutch again. To this very day, on gear changes my foot hits the floor plates with a satisfying thump. Happy Sar'nt. Apparently, he was not happy about my cheecky answer to his threat.

Oh, and hello relay. Seems to have been a bitch season for a lot of us. Hope this new year sees it better for you.

    Shorty.
