AFAIK spotties can be mounted up there in Qld, probably on roof rack, but you can only use them off road.

Yes, where did you get the heater intake?

Is it one of the Troutbeck fibreglass ones?

Does it stop water getting in to the vent and stuffing the blower fan (see my other thread on blower fan:( ) ??

So it's made of fibreglass. Is it robust enough if going through scrub land bushes and light tree areas?

My big question is how does it function in the rain and when the car is stationary in the rain. Do you get much water into the vent duct?

I got over a litre out of the vent drain yesterday and when I get a long enough dry day I'm going to have to remove the blower unit and see what I can do to resurrect it.

That's right. However unlike 4wds in the city and bullbars that they crap on about it is already illegal to have a rod holder mounted in that way when not in use anyway.

Ok, its fibreglass, he used to do alloy ones but cant anymore.Yep, its tough.As to rain, the simple answer is, I dont know, my heater works fine, still does after driving round after Larry last year, and if that didnt cause a problem, nothing would.

I'd shorten the drawbar on that trailer. It must be a bugger to find a big enough space to turn around in with it that far behind you.
