True, but that kind of consumptions starting to get serious... you might be able to aford the fuel, but I think you'd be stopping at that many fuel outlets it would be a pain.

I wonder how many VW/Bugatti have actually made and sold?

I just finished downloading an episode that aired last week in the UK, and James takes one to the VW test track and maxes out it's top speed on the 5km long main straight. 407 km/h

So thats 84km in 12 minutes using 100L of fuel.

This works out at 1.19L/km or 119L/100km.

Just can't trust anyone these days. VW said it only drank 100 l / 100 km at max speed when it was released. LOL Wonder if you can fit aftermarket long range tanks, in an inflight refueler?

Why didn't they get a better plane, must've been something better than a crappy old Cessna. Love Top Gear, the journey stories are brilliantly made.

Didn't he also say it only uses about 50hp (with the remaining 950hp still available if required) to do 80mph so in reality it is probably a very fuel efficient car. I was surprised he had to stop to put the rear spoiler down - I would have though that in a car like that it would have been able to be done with a button - afterall the cessna's spoilers (flaps) can be moved from within the cockpit.

Jeremy said that it was intentional, as VW wanted you to stop and think about what you were doing, and perform safety checks on the vehicle before going into the high speed mode.
