This is what happens when you hit a 400kg steer at 100 km an hour
it knocks the S#IT out of them
incidently the owners of the cow insurance company accepted no liability for the the cow being out on the road and would not pay up (lucky we have fully comp insurance) for the $12,000 worth of damage

Hit a bridge post, flipped over the top, upside down in the river bed - dry-ish fortunately

the law is quite clear owner of cattle are not liable for any damage caused by wandering stock on road that you hit. Indeed you might be liable for killing the prize steer.
