Alice Springs middle of the desert, no water resitrictions...go figure...
5 south of Brisbane CBD, Level 4 heading towards 5
& I've had 2 pipes burst out the front of my house, in the last 6 mths, blew a 6ft sq hole in the footpath both times, called the council, they ran for an hour and a half - my guestimate on wastage - millions of gallons:(
Elong Elong - no water restrictions - no water!
(There is no town water supply, and in any case I am 6km out of town - and the dam I pump garden water out of has been dry for two years.)
Everyone relies on their rainwater tanks - those who have gardens, or large families, or small tanks, are having to buy water, but the owners of water tankers are booked pretty solidly, and many are declining to supply new customers.
The nearest town with a water supply, Dubbo, has no restrictions, but Burrendong dam, which supplies it via the Macquarie River, is down to 1% capacity. The demand from the town is very small compared to the amount used for irrigation and environmental flows.

It could be worse, my employer can insist on taking the p155 out of me at any time, they say it's for testing for drugs, I have heard it's for extracting DNA for cloning purposes though. Next time I have to hand over a glass and a half I might have to say bottoms up.
Redlands shire have a different water supply than the rest of brisbane and the gold coast.
I seem to remember something about pumping water back from north straddie or something like that,
Yeah, they get their water from Herring Lagoon and some bore fields on Straddie
F---ers !!!!
Just heard that we ARE going to Level 5 on April 10th. But the governemnt is still "polishing" what these will be and therefore are not releasing details to the public (ie their f'in electorate!) as yet !!!!!
They're polishing something, that's fer sure !

I have just placed an order for a water tank which will end up costing - including slab installation the tank, the pump etc about $2000, of which I'll be VERY lucky if I get up to a maximum of $1300 back in state and council rebates. Given there's a 16 week delivery time from now and that I can;t apply for the rebates until its installed I may not be able to get any rebates at all if those scum sucking government types decide its costing too much. Anyway its sending me to the poorhouse and now they are saying I'll have to buy a pool blanket etc. Those things aren't cheap! ANd besides, I saw someone promoting them as "they can increase the water temperature by up to 10 degress C, extending the swimming season". Thanks but no thanks, my pool is like bathwater some days already. Grrrrrrr.
I'd turn RANT mode off now, except I'm not sure I'm finished..
