When I shipped all my stuff back from Germany - Perth, I found all the removal companies ridiculously expensive, so I looked at sea/surface mail (I wasn't paying, but the less it cost the more I could bring across from brissie). Only problem is it doesn't exist in Germany (especially souther Germany). Cheapest was off-peak air mail (10-15 days) - about $150 per 20kg. I looked at Aussie post sea mail for the reverse of the same leg (for comparison), and it was $270 or thereabouts!!!

I stopped complaining about the cost after that...

Exmoor advise that they do not have an Australian agent, but are working on it.

I purchesed a rear guard from Craddocks in the UK, the freight was 74 pound (around the $150 mark). I wasn't complaining to much as the guard was 74 pound as well and the cheepest I could source it in australia was $886 not including freight and GST!!!!!!
So it worked out a $5-600 saving by buying it from the UK
