There is a book available, about 12 bucks from memory, with all caravan/camping sites that are dog/cat friendly.
After researching we decided to get a friend to look after our labrador as most of the good caravan parks dont want them.![]()
No dogs in National Parks, It would pay you to invest in a book (spiral bound) called Camps Australia Wide 3 or 4 (which is out now, but dearer), it shows every Camping area, rest area and caravan park in Australia and it tells you which spots will accept or allow dogs, there is more than I thought, great book, checkout www.campsaustraliawide.com
Regards Frank.
Newnes camping area, oppsite pub is probably the best, then there's Newnes Plateau (as far away from Bungleboori as possible) Off blackfellows Rd hand is good.
Next would be Jenolan State forest LEFT side of the road to the caves, not the area near the toilet block.
Sunny Corner State Forest and there is some camping in Dark Forest to and the town of Sunny Corner.
The problem with the whole Blue Mountains area is that it's National Park, so no dogs allowd, but all around it are some SF that you can have dogs.
Get the latest addition of the book Camps Australia Wide 3 or 4 as mentioned above, but do make sure you call ahead because some have times that dogs are allowd and times they are not and it's not always mentioned in the book, so call and ask first, don't assume that they allow dogs cause some may have change there policy.

All of the spots that redback said are probably the best around here, there are a few more in the forrests up the road from my place, thats all state forrest, as Redback said the rest is NP so you cant take pets fo any kind in. Matt

hi
we bought a book called camping with dogs from parramatta map store, this covers lots of areas to camp.
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
No probs, we have dogs that's why i know these places, also Matt (ace) mentioned the ones down from his place there names escape me at the moment, Lydsdale SF i think is one also camping near Lake Lyell on Matts side i think there are some campspots too.
Also the ones that i have mentioned a free too, which is a bonus.
PM me if you want more details![]()
