    Pool pumps

Long story short - my Davey Power Ace 200 (long out of warranty) has carked it.

I have found the replacement on Ebay which is much cheaper than retail.

    Question

Has anyone ever purchased one of these from Ebay and how good is the service / delivery / backup etc. I do NOT want to **** away all that cash !

Looks the goods Mike, plus a full warranty from Davey, dont think you could go wrong.

    How much are they retail?

What is actually wrong with yours, some can be easily repaired, but then again some cant

Pay via paypal so if it goes wrong and the dealer renegs you can get your money back. Only lasts for 45 days, but.

Fixed 2 other things... now the motor windings are cooked. Probably terminal as housing is also corroded.

replace it! to repair the motor, the cost would be between 50 and 75% of the cost of a new pump.

You're married now. Plenty of time on your hands to rewind the motor yourself.
