Hi Michael,
Good to see you back in circulation.
Never been involved with Jags, my family always had Rovers. Theres a pic of me in nappies on the running boards of a P3 somewhere.
My old man used to say the first thing to do when you get a Jag is to weld the bonnet shut. Otherwise, it was a 100 quid every time you opened it.
Think things have changed??
Regards
Max P
You can get the Zetec focus which is the sporty one, has the same engine as the rest of the range just has a few bits like body kit, 17in alloys etc bolted on. It retails for around 30k
The XR5 Turbo has a 5cyl 2.5L Turbo Charged Volvo engine, Wheels magazine rated it very highly, and in a review a coupla years back they voted the Zetec Focus second out of 13 small sporty model cars, second to the VW Golf GTI and 3rd was the Mazda 3 SP23.
I like the focus and if was buying one for a daily zip around the4 city car it would be at the top of my list.
Failing that if you want something a little higher up the pile i agree with Dobbo the Audi's are a top car, still price though, they have really built a name for themselves quality wise. Then again so have the Jags, and as you said the diesel would be nice, but pricey.
Or for real bling the Fiesta! Great fun vehicle to drive. Also sports version. Very cheap to run too! (Even driven hard!)
sis had a clio sport...excellent car and quick.
for me, go the audi!:wasntme:
