Sir David Attenborough, when he was in Darwin doing a story on termite mounds. One of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting.

gangland bosses, Tony eustace wasn't a bad bloke always knew which horse was going to win, too bad someone shot him, Mick Sayers always pleasant, but he too went by the way of the bullet.
    Murray Farquar, very shifty,
most of them you wouldn;t cross the road to speak to them, unless of course you were working, good crooks for CIU's.
    back to resonable people,
robert ballard, at a book launch, very interesting bloke
Barry Humphries a real gentleman ( when he was in a suit)
Sting and Bob Geldoff, quietly spoken both of them.
    the previous popes bodyguards,

Policiticians all seem to be tarred with the same brush, a conversation with neville wran convinced me he wasn't a nice man.
That US woman Madelaine Albright when clinton was here in 95 I think, typical yank though she could do what she wanted, her opening line,' Do you know who i am...' fancy saying that to a nsw copper who isn't impressed ( me)
    famous aussies
michael diamond, russell mark, suzy balogh, clive and george barton
Countess Pinky Le grelle , british comm games skeet shooter, lesley goddard, the whole irish trap team(always in the bar at the village)
Mike Munro, no he doesn't count he is only a journo.
I know some more famous ones, at least they told me they were famous( probably to get in the photo)

can't remember her name she won a gold medal i think

This bloke was famous didn't he do an ad

    they looked famous

so there my commonwealth games experience meant i rubbed shoulders with them all , after all they all took pity on the Falklands Team.

even this bloke and his girl , again taking pity talking to our Chef De Mission Patrick.

If there was to be a trophy for this, I'd say you'd be in the running.

    Cheers.

    Safe names.

Chatted and drank beer with Keith Payne, Australia's only living Victoria Cross recipient. Several times.

Went to school with Jeremy Burgess of 500GP fame. Aldgate Primary, inthe Adelaide Hills. And his rather attractive blonde sister Katie.

Ditto, Robert Klompe, 1970's VFL Carlton, ex-Sturt, ex Aldgate PS.

Had a chat with Bev Harrell, as I carried her costume cases for her, a couple of years ago. Ah, boyhood crushes.

Got snubbed by that wine and sailing fellow, Hardy. Does that count?

    Erm,

Probably also knew, in my youth, some of the same people JohnE did.
Sailor's sort of liked "The Cross".

    Shorty.
