    4WD monthly Fraser Island DVD

Instead of getting my usual Landy based mag I spotted 4WD Monthly (April Ed.) it had a free? Fraser island trip DVD.
I went there many years ago and loved it I thought it would be great to see the place again and paid my money.
    Well..................
    Money down the drain.
about 60 mins of ARB advert this fridge advert that.
    About 10mins of fraser island.

Back to the Landy mag next month !

Yeah i almost thought the same thing but it is free and if you never saw an add how would you ever know what was availible or see it in action before hand, so for that purpose not to bad.

I always buy the Aust 4wd monthly when they bring out a DVD. Some of the past ones are great entertainment. Roothy's a real character, and some of the things they get up to are great to watch, though I don't think I'd try them myself.

There's usually some good educational stuff on these DVD's - I found the section on Mig welding in the latest quite good.
    Cheers .........

Yes they are big adds but my kids love them and as said there is tips on each one so since they are free with the mag I think they are a bargain.

I like them too. If its 4WD I'll usually read or watch it. Roothy cracks me up, and it'll be a laugh to see him in TuffTruck shortly drving the BBM Daihatsu Scat except powered by a V6 Commodore motor and on 42's!

The Frazer DVD even though it is free the first half was not to bad (loved Rothys dunk in the sea) the second half of the DVD had gone to far on the advertising side of things. Like how much time do you really need to cover a roast cooker 15min joke. Same with the welding should not have been on that DVD they should have waited for the next bush Mechanic DVD and also gone into battery welding out in the bush. The Icom segment what a load of ****.
It is still worth the watch I hope they take note of the huge amount of feedback and improve the next DVD back to how the first 3 have been.

.....and Roothy's chosen vehicle is an old 40 series cruiser (sponsored by toy.ota) and he hates and knocks Land Rovers in his 'features', I reckon they have a lot of 'good wiil' to make up..............................................Th e mags an advertising mecca.
