    The Falkland Islands

Last year I was in the Falkland islands for 6 weeks, I have been trying to work out how to put some photos on without stuffing it up,
    so here goes

Landrover Owners heaven, car park at the gun club, they are everywhere, the one I had for the duration was the ragtop 90 on the left.

watch it, there are some places you don't go off road

and when you do go off road what do you use!

when the going gets tough go out with the british army

thats my first installment, now to find the disc with the buried loader on it.

G'day All, Good pix from way over there, in the last pix showing the (Hagglungs???) tracked vehicles is that the wreckage of a 75/106mm recoiless rifle on a frame/axle, and just out of curiosity what is what appears to be disacarded clothing or something similar on the ground, yes I realise it isn't a body as the Brits would have have clearing/burial parties to bury the dead anyway looking forward to seeing some more pix, didn't you post the pix some time ago re the buried loader and alol the other stuff that came to retrieve it as I remember seeing it maybe it was in the Series 2 club forum anyway cheers and thanks for sharing the pix Dennis

I am glad they worked out, thansk to mrs numpys instructions,
dinty, I can't remember posting anything other than a couple of how ya goings from over there, but could have am not sure
the loader photos was linked to and set up by Steve Loxton aka the Bogmaster. from over there. Lee Clement the driver was suitably red faced when i told him the world saw the sinking in the peat bog.

Yes that is a recoiless rifle, one of many, not sure of the size, that clothing pile next to it, is the box of tools, cleaning heads, pintle hooks for towing, on the right of the lead BV was a defensive position, trenches and the base of a 50cal hmg, why a 50, because i did some digging and found a pile of fired cases.
The R/cless rifles were everywhere, i found two than no one knew about as well as a blown mortar tube. Got to know the EOD guys really well so , went out on patrol with them almost daily, I blew up a mortar bomb I found, then set the C4, i pressed the button. They got a bit frustrated with me, i kept finding stuff, unexploded mortars, ammo , fuses. a bit of digging here and there, easy to find.

But if you want clothes and kit, here you go,

heavy mg mount, I am in the trench

I have digital photos, film photos and video,, 3 cameras all up to make sure I got everything,.
    more to come
