How about everyone stops giving Rangieman a hard time about this thread, we have all made silly quotes in the past, humans do that. I very much doubt he meant to offend anyone. He asked a valid question, one that has been rumoured for a long time. I have heard this rumour from more than a few persons. In short so what if Inc or any admin has the ability to do whatever on the forum. They run it and it is Inc's forum.

The way I saw it before this thread

Hypothetically speaking if a serious crime was commited and the victim and suspect were both members of the same forum, the police contacted the webmaster or administrator with appropriate paperwork, surely a webmaster or administrator would be able to access these messages, somehow, someway.

Thats the way I saw it anyway. If I am wrong it just proves I know FA about FA.

Typical Aust stereo typing to bring others down these days instead of offering thoughtful or a positive posts or solution. This forum is not what it used to be it seems to deteriorate month by month.

its not the thread thats the problem ;) its more of whats pushed across in the thread

even if the mods could see whats in my PM's i really couldn't care less :o
as i have nothing to hide behind or be scared of:D

they would get 3/5th of ****all out of me without a warrant...

they have the ability to take impound the server and its contents, which is why i have some of the conditions of access that i have...

i am no fan of any form of big brother activity.... ask my local federal MP, he has a copy of a george orwell curtesay of me...

i think the question was very valid, the assertion that i would not reply truthfully sucked, but i have no real control over that... life goes on...

i personally think there is another agenda that hasnt made it to light as yet... the whole tone of several threads and a couple of odd users reeks of something else, be it bait or bull****, there is definetly an agenda, or my name aint rodney.....

If this is the case, as I am sure 99.9% of the people on here feel the it is, why would anybody with any respect for feelings, or basic civility even NEED to ask such a question.

If the guy had doubts - they should have been pm'd to the blokes in charge.........and the hornets nest wouldn't have been stirred.

My comments still stand - if he doesn't like the remote posibility of someone reading his PM's - then move somewhere else or don't send them.

And do you think that an ISP doesn't have the ways and means to read private email, of course they do ..................but unless you have the crown jewells to hide ....................why would they bother.

If I have anything I need to send electronically - that I don't want anyone else to see - I send it encrypted 128 bit - and for most, I know that only the Feds or military inteligence have the resources and the time to break that................and if they do read it - they will just learn more about global warming - naff all else......they might even gain something

Inc i feel the Mods are way to soft, light, or how ever you put it, I put a post on in GCLRO threads a few days ago that should have me booted or at least a demerit point issued, but no. I had a good reason but not a reason that accommodates the topics on AULRO.
Its time to stiffen up and draw a line. If people are seen deliberately posting negative information they should be pulled up.
Not having a go at any one MOD its across the board.
